Even a small uneven area around the stoma is enough for waste to pass under the barrier and irritate the skin. The Adapt flat ring is placed between the skin and the barrier to fill this gap and create a uniform contour, with a thickness of 2.30 mm that evens out the area around the stoma.

The Adapt flat ring is best suited for relatively even skin where there is simply a lack of material under the barrier. It creates an additional protective layer between the skin and the adhesive, where adhesion alone allows for leakage.
