When the skin around the stoma is uneven or the stoma is retracted, a flat barrier loses contact on one side and allows waste to leak through. The curved profile of the Natura Durahesive convex wafer gently presses around the stoma and maintains more uniform skin contact.
- The Durahesive barrier is moisture-resistant and maintains its adhesion even when the skin perspires.
- The opening is cut to the exact contour of the stoma to expose as little skin as possible.
- The 70 mm accordion flange receives the pouch, which can be replaced without removing the barrier.
The pouch can be changed without touching the skin barrier, an advantage of the two-piece system when the skin around the stoma needs to be protected. The Durahesive Natura convex flange receives the pouch via a 70 mm accordion-fold flange and its opening is cut to the contour of the stoma.
