Most knee braces choose a side, either a rigid frame or a soft knit. The SofTec Genu combines both. Two aluminum bars placed on each side keep the joint aligned at four support points, and the Class 1 compression knit (20-30 mmHg) wraps around the knee to engage the muscles with every step.
- The splints adjust to limit flexion or block it completely, useful after meniscus surgery or in the first weeks of rehabilitation
- The soft insert housed in the semi-rigid knit provides a gentle massage when the knee bends
- The thigh straps open and close to adjust the support, and the splints can be removed from the side pockets before hand washing
After a torn cruciate ligament or when the knee gives way without warning, the SofTec Genu keeps the joint aligned with its two aluminum splints. The degree of flexion is adjusted according to the stage of rehabilitation, from complete immobilization to a freer range of motion. The compression knit supports the muscles without unnecessary constriction.
