When the stoma is retracted below skin level, a flat barrier has difficulty maintaining contact and allows leaks to occur. The SenSura Mio 2-piece deep convex barrier presses further around the stoma to push it out, and its elastic adhesive follows the body's movements without lifting at the edges.

- The 40 mm flange fits into the pouch and detaches without peeling the barrier from the skin
- The pouch can be changed multiple times without reapplying the entire system
The deep convexity of the SenSura Mio barrier is suitable for retracted stomas or those surrounded by deep folds, where a light curve is no longer sufficient. The barrier stays in place while the pouch is removed and replaced on the 40 mm coupling ring, without pulling on the skin.
